The photo shows the exhibition 25 square
25 Swedish architectural firms presenting ideas on what a 25 sq m house can look like. Proposals include everything from log cabins, pavilions, orangeries and mini-villas to a triumphal arch and a path for mini-pigs. The exhibition at Vandalorum also houses an open architecture studio where visitors of all ages have the opportunity to create their own attestation houses in two and three dimensions.

In the summer of 2015, the Swedish Parliament passed the decision on so-called Attefall houses. This is something entirely new in building legislation: a 25 square meter auxiliary house that does not require a building permit and yet is allowed to be an independent residence. What dreams, thoughts, and visions does this new freedom evoke?

The exhibition is based on the book "25 Square Meters," which was published in November 2014 by the publishing house Max Ström, and leverages the unique ability of the exhibition medium to provide a spatial experience of the Attefall house's area and volume. The content is also connected to a debate about the Attefall reform, which has been widely discussed, not least among architects.

Participating architectural firms: A Blast, Belatchew Arkitekter, Bornstein Lyckefors, DinellJohansson, Elding Oscarson, Happyspace, In Praise of Shadows, Johannes Norlander, Jordens Arkitekter, Jägnefält Milton, Kolman Boye, Marge, Marx Arkitektur, Nordmark & Nordmark, OkiDoki!, Petra Gipp, Testbedstudio, Tham & Videgård, The Common Office, Trigueiros, Vision Division, Waldemarson Berglund, White, Widjedal Racki, Wingårdhs.

The exhibition is produced by the Form/Design Center in collaboration with authors Eva Wrede and Mark Isitt.
