In 2025 Vandalorum will present an exhibition of works from the private art collection that Marika and CG Wachtmeister have built up over half a century. The exhibition focuses on the collectors' long-standing relationship with the art world in the United States and includes about 100 works by more than 30 internationally prominent artists who have worked during the various challenging political events that have characterized the United States, from the 1970s to the absolute present.

Participating artists include Marina Abramović, Janine Antoni, Louise Bourgeois, Nan Goldin, Ann Hamilton, Jenny Holzer, Emily Jacir, Zoran Naskovski, Karyn Olivier, Yoko Ono, Roxy Paine, Dread Scott, Andres Serrano, Kara Walker and Robert Wilson, among others. Works by a number of Swedish artists who have been active in the United States will also be included, such as Axel Karlsson Rixon, Ann-Sofi Sidén and Anne Thulin.

Marika Wachtmeister founded the international exhibition scene at Wanås in northeastern Skåne, Sweden in 1986, where several of the artists have participated. Wanås is today an internationally recognized sculpture park with over 80 permanent works in magnificent beech forest and historic surroundings.

For the exhibition Vandalorum publishes a catalogue in which the award-winning journalist and author Martin Gelin writes. Gelin has for many years been the USA correspondent for Dagens Nyheter and has written books such as The White Storm: The History of Racism and the Fall of the United States (2022) and Tomorrow I will be far from here. A Farewell Letter to the U.S. (2024).

The exhibition is designed by TAF Studio.
