Vandalorum proudly presents Per Inge Bjørlo's solo exhibition. The exhibition is based on three major retrospective exhibitions previously shown at Henie Onstad Kunstsenter, Bærum, Norway (2012), Bergen Art Museum, Bergen, Norway (2012) and Tønder Kunstmuseum, Tønder, Denmark (2013).

These exhibitions have developed new experiences which have given rise to a whole new collection of works with the collective title The weight of the lung and crow's voice.

The exhibition at Vandalorum consists of works from these retrospectives combined with new works such as drawings, objects and sculpture. In Sydsvenska Korset between the E4 and the national road 27 is Per Inge Bjørlo's roundabout sculpture Riktning, 2003, placed. This work early pinpointed the location of the future Museum Vandalorum and is today an important benchmark.

Per Inge Bjørlo was born in 1952 in Ålesund, Norway and lives and works in Hønefoss, Norway. Bjørlo is considered one of the Nordic region's most important contemporary artists and is represented at Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, Denmark and Nationalmuseum in Oslo.
