The gamay grape is best known for its association with the popular Beaujolais nouveau wine, produced in French Beaujolais. In fact, gamay deserves more attention than that. It is a noble grape variety that has the ability to create wines with great personality and clear sense of origin.
The tasting runs until 19.30 and then ends with a light evening meal.

Rubén has a background as a sommelier at the 3-star The Fat Duck outside London and Veritas in New York where he was responsible for one of the largest wine cellars in the United States. Today Rubén works as wine manager at PM & Vänner restaurant in Växjö which has a star in Guide Michelin and as the only restaurant in Sweden a Grand Award in Wine Spectator. Rubén has been awarded the Sommelierernas Sommelier award at the Swedish Gastronomy Prize Gala 5 years in a row. He has also been named Best Sommelier of the Year by Livets Goda.
